星期日, 12 七月 2015, 11:00上午

Sam Gale’s passion for music started at the age of six, when he first picked up a trombone. Having passed grade five with distinction at the age of nine, he was approached to consider the RCM Junior Department, where he subsequently gained a place. Sam has reached the second round of the last two series of BBC Young Musician of the Year, gained a place in the National Youth Orchestra for the last two years, and achieved a distinction in his DipABRSM Diploma. Sam’s other musical passion is composition and arranging, and has been fortunate enough to have had many of these pieces and arrangements performed at the Junior Department at the RCM, including one in this recital. His appreciation for orchestral music has ignited a desire to write for film, which he hopes to pursue in the future.
